***Better Than Leather*** PACK Horse HALTER made from BETA BIOTHANE

In stock

A MUST-HAVE FOR GROOMING MADE EASY!

If you do a lot of trail riding, you'll want one of these in your trail. Our pack halter has the same features as our conventional turnout, plus an added pair of rings on the noseband. These can remain stowed along the sides of the noseband, or pulled down to allow you to pony a pack horse. We find this set-up allows for easy connection of the two horses, while avoiding a line running through one side or the other of a horse's halter, placing uneven pressure on the face during the ride. Our pack halter comes in your choice of beta biothane colors, sizes, and hardware.

Our ¾-inch beta biothane halter (other widths available from 5/8-inch to 1-inch, depending on breed/size) comes with an adjustable crownpiece to be sure it fits your horse perfectly.

Beta biothane is a super-strong, versatile material that provides the flexibility and strength of leather without all the fuss. It stands up against sunlight, sweat, water, mud, and heat without cracking or fading. Beta tack can be made good as new with a scrub in soap and water. For ground-in dirt, beta can be put in the washing machine or dishwasher (just skip the dry cycle). We believe that once you try beta, you won’t go back to leather!

Your choice of Halter widths. Our recommendations:

• 1 inch recommended for larger horses - Horse Size & Above

• 3/4 inch great for smaller horses, also gives refined look for larger horses - Larger Pony, Cob Size & Arab & some Horse Size

• 5/8 inch - Foal & Mini sizes

Available in 27 Colors Of Beta Biothane. Your Choice of Nickle Plated, Rust Proof Stainless steel or Brass Hardware.

I got the opportunity to review this halter and I am loving it (and all my other THT items). The halter is extremely sturdy, good stitching, and great hardware. I was exceptionally impressed with the hardware rings, I did not expect them to be nearly as large or sturdy as they are. Ponying a horse will be very easy not having to fiddle with trying to clip onto normal sized rings or halters. I love how the chin of the halter isn't fixed but still has rings that can be used to tie which again eliminates the issues seen with a normal halter. My horse has a cob sized head on the very small side and this halter fits perfectly. If you have a horse on the large end of a cob size you may want to size up, it does look like it may run just a little smaller than their other halters.
