Light Marathon Harness made from Beta Biothane with Guaranteed Fit

This is the Cadillac of our harnesses—high-quality, comfortable, and classy for you and your horse. Our marathon harness is our toughest-built harness complete with driving bridle, overcheck and lines, single harness saddle and belly band, crupper and breeching, breastplate, traces, and driving bit.
 
The breastcollar has a slight v in front, complimenting your horse’s conformation, easing his work load and increasing his comfort. The metal piece in the front of the breastcollar allows it to open, so you don't have to pull it over the horse's head.

Trace ends are rubber enforced around holes to prevent stretching. Traces are also rubber enforced around shaft loops to prevent rubbing and increase durability. Traces & breeching are double ply for added strength. Adjustable shaft loop and padded crupper and belly band for added comfort.

Bridle has wire stays to help the blinkers keep their shape without rubbing or bumping horse’s eye. Harness has 3 rings to hold lines in place, one on top of breast collar, on turrets of saddle and on backstrap on top of horses rump. 

 The pads on the breastplate and saddle are available in a variety of colors (listed below), heart-shaped, no-rust buckles throughout, and decorative keepers & medallion on bridle.

Heavy duty holdbacks with snaps also available. Holdbacks wrap around shaft and snap onto harness. Together with the breeching they are the vehicles brakes and keep cart from hitting horse's rump especially going downhill. An important feature for any who drives in hilly or uneven terrain.

Our marathon harness is made of beta biothane throughout, which makes it lighter on your horse’s body and easier to clean after your drive—just rinse it with soap and water. Beta biothane won’t fade, crack, or rot, making it a sounder investment than leather or nylon.
